From the early 2020 our collaborators in Russia Micro-art Group Gorod Ustinov are collecting the stories on shame on the vast territory of the russian federation. The concept of their Shame-O-Mat is “iShame on delivery”. Visiting people at different locations they record their memories of shame.

With the performance “Shame on You!” we were touring in Russia from the 5th of July till the 4th of August 2021. We started our journey in Ekaterinburg. From there we travelled west, to the region of Udmurtiya where we were invited for the art residency by the cultural center of “Sep Community”. The tour led us further through different towns, ending in St. Peterburg. During this tour our curators Gorod Ustinov created a diary blog site which we could feed with our impressions and fotos from the road.

Micro-art group Gorod Ustinov

Members of the micro-art group Gorod Ustinov were born in 1986, when the city of Izhevsk was called Ustinov. Since 2010, they have been exhibiting and conducting workshops internationally, as in Switzerland, Belgium, Armenia, Russia, Georgia and elsewhere. They develop formats such as Museum.Delivery, Micromuseum, Museum Of One Dress, which explore and reinvent the museum as an institution and space. Their workshops with the Micromuseum sensitize the perception of space and time by focusing on the smallest particles and units. They live and work in the moving city of Ustinov.
